VACATION BIBLE SCHOOL AT GRACE BIBLE CHURCH

Top o' the morning! We're so excited you've decided to join us for Vacation Bible School at Grace Bible Church this summer. See below for everything you need to know about our journey to the Emerald Isle as we learn about the Good Shepherd and how he cares for his sheep.

DAILY THEMES AND MEMORY VERSES

MONDAY: Lost to Found (Psalm 23:1; 1 Samuel 17:34-37)

TUESDAY: Wrong Path to Right Path (Psalm 23:2-3; 1 Samuel 17)

WEDNESDAY: Fearful to Peaceful (Psalm 23:4; 1 Samuel 19-23)

THURSDAY: Grumbling to Grateful (Psalm 23:5; 2 Samuel 19:3-7; 1 Samuel 16:1-13)

FRIDAY: Shaky to Sure (Psalm 23:6; 1 Chronicle 22)

DAILY COOL CONTESTS

MONDAY: GUESS THE RAINBOW SKITTLES – Whoever has the closest guess to the amount of rainbow skittles in the jar wins extra points for their team!

TUESDAY: GROUP SPIRIT – Each group comes up with a team cheer, song, motion, or sign and wins extra points!

WEDNESDAY: DRESS-UP DAY – Dress up in anything that relates to the VBS theme - shepherds, farmers, King David, other kings and queens, Irish step dancers, farm animals, or other Irish-themed costumes and earn extra points for your team!

THURSDAY: BIBLE CHALLENGE – Take home a scavenger hunt through the Bible to learn more about God as the Good Shepherd and bring it in completed on Friday morning to earn points for your team!

FRIDAY: MISSION MONEY MANIA – Bring in your final mission money to support GBC's mission partner, True Options Pregnancy Center and to earn extra points for your team! Learn more about True Options HERE.

WHAT TO BRING

VBS 2026 t-shirt (pick up at church two weeks prior, or Monday morning of VBS)
Comfortable, cool summer clothing
Sunscreen applied prior to VBS
Closed-toed shoes
A full water bottle labeled with the student's name

CAR LINE GUIDELINES

DROP-OFF GUIDELINES

Check-in starts at 8:45 AM.
Park and escort your children into the front church entrance and go to the Welcome Table. Here, volunteers will be able to sign your children in and give them their name tags.
At this point, we ask that you leave your children with their group leaders who will escort them into the sanctuary to begin their day at VBS.

PICK-UP GUIDELINES

Check-out starts at 12:00 PM.
Enter through the front entrance of the church and come to the Welcome Table.
Tell the volunteers who you are coming to pick up. They will let the other volunteers in the sanctuary know, who will escort them to the front entrance.
In order to facilitate a safer and more efficient pick up process, we ask that you leave the church in a timely manner once you have picked up your children.

IRISHFEST FINALE

Families and friends are invited to join us inside the sanctuary at 11:45 AM for our IRISHFEST FINALE on Friday, where we will announce the team who earned the most points overall in our Cool Contests, watch a video of the week's activities, enjoy a free lunch, play in a bounce house, and more!

POLICIES

Parents or guardians are asked to agree to the following policies at the time of registration:

EMERGENCY MEDICAL CARE CONTRACT

I understand that I will be notified in the case of a medical emergency. However, in the event that I cannot be reached, I authorize the calling of a doctor and the providing of necessary medical services in the event that my child is injured or becomes ill. I authorize the leadership of Grace Bible Church to make emergency medical care decisions on behalf of my child, if required by law or a health care provider. I authorize these persons to act in my place to consent to all necessary and appropriate x-ray examinations, anesthetic, medical or surgical diagnosis or treatment, and hospital care. I understand that Grace Bible Church will not be responsible for medical expenses incurred solely on the basis of this authorization. I also understand that the designated adult chaperones reserve the right to restrict my child from any activity that they do not feel is within the physical capabilities of my child.

WELLNESS POLICY

To create the healthiest environment possible for all students, we ask that you do not bring your children to VBS if they have had any of the following symptoms:
1. Fever or do not appear well
2. Continuously runny nose, regardless of the color of the drainage or treatment with antibiotics
3. Frequent loose or watery stools
4. Frequent cough or sneezing
5. Vomiting
Children should be symptom free for 48 hours before returning to VBS.
If your child has a clear runny nose or other symptoms due to allergies, please let us know. Thank you for doing your part to adhere to this wellness policy.

DISCIPLINE POLICY

In order to create a safe and fun environment for all students, we are not able to accommodate children who display violent, aggressive, or extremely disruptive behavior. In the event that a child's behavior becomes unmanageable for VBS staff, we will contact parents/guardians to come pick them up.
We also request that children not bring or use cellphones during VBS.
